Booking Terms & Conditions

1.0 Our Commitment to You

a. Confidentiality.

All information provided will be kept confidential. Your personal details and medical information will not be divulged to any third parties without your prior permission.

b. Recommendations.

Using my/our judgement and experience, I/we will suggest certain exercises and other lifestyle advice that I/we believe will help you achieve your personal goals, but if at any time you have specific requests please tell use, so I/we can accommodate them.

c. Referral.

I/we intend to work with you within the scope of my/our knowledge and competencies as a REPs Registered Exercise Professional(s). Therefore, when I/we believe it is in your best interest to see another health professional, I/we will refer you appropriately.

1.1 Booking Policy Overview

1.2 Payment in full is required at the time of booking. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel any appointment or training session. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, then the session fee in total shall be charged and not refunded. If you fail to arrive for an appointment or training session the fee in total shall be charged and not refunded. Payment(s) can be made in cash or via our online secure PayPal system.

1.3 If I (Martin Charles Fitness / The Trainer) cancels or runs late.

Unforeseen circumstances may arise which require our sessions to be rescheduled. In this event the following policy will apply:
Should I/we (Martin Charles Fitness) cancel a pre-booked training session with less than 24 hours’ notice. I/we will refund your session fee, reschedule your appointment and credit you with one free additional training session.
If I/we run late in starting our session I will extend the session time accordingly or make it up at a future date, whichever is most convenient to you.
If you (the client) are late to a session, I will do my best to get the most out of the remaining time left in the session as I am unable to run over time due to previously arranged client commitments.

1.4 Any training sessions cancelled by Martin Charles Fitness and paid by standing order or direct debit will be refunded electronically via our secure PayPal system to the associate client bank account. Such refunds will be subject to PayPal’s own terms of business.

1.5 Personal training sessions, consultations and/or appointments must be confirmed or cancelled via email, text or telephone.

1.6 Personal training sessions will generally take the form of 60-minute blocks unless otherwise agreed or specified by both parties.

1.7 Personal training sessions or block bookings purchased in person or via our site are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

1.8 I/We, Martin Charles Fitness reserve the right to withdraw services should any of these conditions not be met.

1.9 By purchasing personal training session(s) from this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree then do not purchase.

 

Additional Charges

1.0 Additional charges may apply should paid access to a private gym or other training venue be required or requested. Such charges shall be borne by you the client and be in addition to the session fee.

1.1 Should additional mileage be incurred then said mileage shall be charged at a rate of £1.50 per mile.

Health & Safety

1.0 Health & Safety Overview

1.1 Before starting a new programme of exercise with Martin Charles Fitness, you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire (PARQ form) This is for your own safety and to ensure that there are no underlying health issues or injuries which may prevent you from exercising. The details of this questionnaire shall be keep confidential and not divulged to any third-party agencies without your prior permission. Please disclose all health information as requested at our initial consultation and keep us updated and informed of any changes to your health status. This includes all medical conditions; physical and mental, injuries, allergies, and medication you are taking.

1.2 Should you have any underlying health concerns I/we would strongly recommend that you consult with your doctor before starting to exercise or follow any new personal training programme recommended by Martin Charles Fitness.

1.3 Any recommendations, advice or instructions provided by Martin Charles Fitness or its agents, are in no way intended to replace or to be construed as medical advice.

1.4 Martin Charles Fitness offers no warranties or representations regarding the advice, instructions, email advice or any other information provided.

1.5 Accepting Potential Risks.

Whilst for most people exercise is hugely positive with many health benefits, there remains some risk. As a result, I/We will require you to sign an Informed Consent and Disclaimer provided.
When undertaking exercise, you will accept that an element of risk may be present. You will accept and be aware that participating in exercise may carry an associated risk of injury. The level of injury may be both minor or potentially major. Martin Charles Fitness or its agents shall not be held liable for any claims, demands, damages, rights of action or causes of action, present or future, arising out of or connected to any instruction or information provided, including any injuries resulting there from.

2.0 Access to our Group Fitness schedule is restricted to Adults Only. An adult being deemed to be 18 Years and over.

Before taking part in a Group Fitness class you must divulge any underlying medical condition(s) or injurie(s) to the Group Fitness Instructor.

When undertaking Group Exercise, you will accept that an element of risk may be present. You will accept and be aware that participating in exercise may carry an associated risk of injury. The level of injury may be both minor or potentially major. Martin Charles Fitness or its agents shall not be held liable for any claims, demands, damages, rights of action or causes of action, present or future, arising out of or connected to any instruction or information provided, including any injuries resulting there from. You exercise at your own risk.

Alterations

Martin Charles Fitness reserves the right at any time without notice to revise the contents of this site including these Conditions. Any changes to these Conditions will be posted on this site and by continuing to use this site following any such change you will signify that you agree to be bound by the revised Conditions.
